1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SyncFile ("the App", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and SyncFile ("Company", "we", "us", "our") regarding your use of the App.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Service Description
SyncFile is a mobile application that enables users to synchronize files and folders between their Android device and Google Drive. The App provides:
- Folder Synchronization: Bi-directional sync between local device storage and Google Drive
- Background Sync: Automatic synchronization at user-defined intervals
- Conflict Resolution: Multiple strategies for handling file conflicts
- Sync History: Detailed logs of synchronization operations
The App requires an active Google account and appropriate permissions to access Google Drive and local device storage.
3. Account Registration
To use SyncFile, you must:
- Have a valid Google account
- Grant the App permission to access your Google Drive
- Grant the App permission to access your device storage
- Be at least 16 years of age
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may use the App to:
- Synchronize your personal files and documents
- Back up important data to Google Drive
- Maintain copies of files across your devices
- Manage your file synchronization preferences
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to use the App to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
- Upload, sync, or distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Store or transmit illegal content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Circumvent any security features of the App
Important: Violation of these prohibited activities may result in immediate termination of your access to the App and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by SyncFile and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of all files and content you synchronize using the App. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with Google Drive and uses Google authentication services. Your use of these services is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services. Any issues with Google Drive or Google authentication should be directed to Google.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or completeness of content
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Any defects will be corrected
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- Your files will be successfully synchronized in all circumstances
Data Loss Warning: While we strive to provide reliable synchronization, you are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your important files. We strongly recommend keeping independent backups of critical data.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SYNCFILE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your files
- Damages resulting from synchronization errors or data loss
- Damages resulting from third-party services (including Google Drive)
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SyncFile and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your content synchronized through the App
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device and disconnecting your Google account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Discontinuation of the App
Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification shall survive termination.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify you through the App or via email for significant changes
Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the App.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Taiwan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts in Taiwan.
